The average person releases nearly a pint of intestinal gas by flatulence every day.

I think this is the solution to our dependence on foreign oil. We need to come out with a new line of clothing that has a device to capture this gas and then upload it to a communal tank at the end of the day.
Then we can have campaigns to change the american diet to include more gas producing foods.

Just think of the slogans -
"Do your part to reduce dependancy on foreign fuels - EAT MORE BEANS!"

"Black Beans - the new black gold"

Also solves employment problems, middle aged overweight men with gas problems could have new careers as gas producers. They can line up in factories, they way we line up calfs for veal, watch T.V. all day and let go!

Average fact for today

On average women say 7,000 words per day. Men manage just over 2000.

This fits in with my life. I speak way less than my wife. My wife will spend an hour on the phone with her sister even on days they get together in person. Not me, phone calls, few that they are, are short. Even to say goodnight at a gathering, I think women talk way longer. Men just say goodbuy, see ya soon. Women have to discuss a few last minute items they forgot to talk about, discuss plans to meet again, and how they never get time to talk to each other.

My average commute to work is 1 hour and 45 minutes each way. I have been doing since commute since 1991 - 15 years. Prior to that my commute was shorter - 1 hour and 30 minutes!
I did that commute for 5 years. If I add up all the time I spent commuting to work over the past 20 years I come to over 900 days (average of 225 workd days per year), which is 2.5 years! Think about 2.5 years commuting. That's around 13% or my life spent getting to and coming home from work! How much is your average commute.

I like being average. Most people are. Being average doesn't mean you don't stand out or are not better at some things. It just means that overall you are just another person. Which we all are. The greatest at one skill are not the greatest at another. Put together, it all averages out.
